pricing and options
The details on this page are for guidance only. Because every bicycle is going to be different, associated costs are also going to vary. Before you place an order, I’ll work out a price for you based on what we agree to build. You’ll be kept up to date through the process if there are any changes to the agreed price. It’s sometimes difficult to confirm an exact price, especially if we are sourcing slightly less common parts for example but I’ll do my best to give you a clear indication of what the final cost is likely to be.
Frame and Forks
Frame and Fork package is not going to be less than £1,850. That’s for a standard steel frame (Columbus, Reynolds, Dedacciai or a mix of tubing). I only use high-end, top-of-the-range tubing. This will have standard dropouts, an English threaded BSA bottom bracket shell and regular cable routing. It will include a regular Willow sourced carbon fork and a single colour paint finish.
There are a number of elements that may increase the cost, these include but are not limited to; handbuilt steel fork, branded carbon fork, internal cable routing, T47 or PF30 bottom bracket shell, ‘fancy’ or adjustable dropouts, multi-colour or complicated paint finish. Sometimes there can be additional costs if we need to do excessive tube manipulation for things like clearance for big tyres and short chainstays.
Once you know you want to go ahead with an order, I’ll ask you to pay a small deposit to reserve your spot in the queue. Final payment is due before the frame gets painted and assembled. You can collect from my workshop or I can send it out at your cost. Frame/Fork postage costs (to UK addresses) are about £25, full bikes cost about £65 to send out.
Full Bicycles
I’d love to be able to tell you on this page exactly what your bike is going to cost but with an unlimited choice of components, that’s really difficult to do. But as an example, the Oponki above was somewhere in the region of £4,700. That was with a Rohloff hub, beltdrive, dynamo front hub, Jones loop bars and handbuilt wheels. All of these options bumped the price up. If you know what you want and what your final build will be, let me know and I’ll pull a rough price together for you. If you’re not sure what components you’ll need then get in contact and let me know what you want to use the bike for and I can talk you through all the options and cost implications.
